Children in Worship
Each Sunday as we gather for worship there are all ages and stages together. The first half of the service everyone stays in but just before the sermon is preached the younger children can leave and are taught the bible in a way that they can understand. When we sing a song after the sermon everyone joins together again for the last 10/15 minutes of worship.
Sunday Bible Club
Every Sunday afternoon during school term time we have Sunday Bible Club. There are songs and Bible stories fun activities. West Kirk Sunday Bible Club is lead by leaders who love kids and love the Lord. It’s open to all boys and girls of primary school age and there’s always plenty of sweeties and prizes too. Every Sunday from September 3;15-4:15pm.
If you have ever been to a holiday kids club you’ll know what Monday club is like. A high energy mix of games, craft, songs, stories and special events. The Monday Club is for boys and girls of Primary School age.
The Girls Brigade – Tuesday from 6:30pm
Girls’ Brigade is a Christian Youth Organisation for girls aged 3 years to 18 years. Through the weekly GB programme girls are helped to discover new gifts and skills, get creative, build confidence and self-esteem, have fun and make new friends. Activities include learning about Jesus, arts & crafts, baking and lots of games,
GB girls are also challenged to grow in faith and live out the GB motto – to “Seek, Serve and Follow Christ”.
Girl Guides – Thursday from 6:30
The 21st Belfast Guide Unit is made up of The Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. They meet on Thursday evenings in the Church Halls (The Senior Section usually meet monthly as arranged.) In West Kirk it is our aim that each girl would reach her full potential spiritually, physically and emotionally and they would “Be Prepared”, as our motto expects us to be, to stand up for what is true, good and right.
They always welcome new members in all sections and if you are interested in joining us please call at the Church Hall on any meeting night or contact us by email at email@example.com or through the “Contact Us” section.
